I am a lyricist. I do use AI for my demos now. 
I’m a fiddle player, and doing demos with just my fiddle is out of the question. I do not play guitar or piano, etc. I have written too many songs and have so many that I want to demo, that paying musicians and studio engineers to demo them for me is prohibitively expensive. 
I have several successes prior to AI, so I am not at all new to lyric writing. A few of these can be checked out on iTunes, Spotify, etc. They include: 

Rusty Red (Dicky Minor). This one spent two weeks at number one on The Roots Music Report’s top 50 true country songs chart, in 2014. 

Blended Blue (John Berry, yes, the country singer)

As you can guess, I primarily write in the country and Bluegrass genre, including Bluegrass Gospel.
