I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After singing on the road for a number of years, I settled in Nashville, Tennessee and lived there for 30 years. I wrote this song after moving back to the Las Cruces area and the enjoyment of all the sunshine here vs. the rain in Tennessee.
