Can't You See (Black Stone Cherry Acoustic Cover) - Shawn Ash

Category: Music
Duration: 00:04:11
Description:
I have always loved this song and the original Marshall Tucker version is an amazing piece of music that has and will stand the test of time but always felt that it needed a full ,balls to the wall, peddle to the metal version, of it. So a few years back, when I lived in Georgia, and finally got signed to a record label, Reign Forever Group (RnB & Hip-Hop), by owner Harold Self Chisolm, I had the chance to put together some amazing original as well as cover music with the band, my manager Donnie Canada, had put together at the request of the label. Rehearsing one day our drummer Kerry threw out Can't You See as an add to the setlist but wanted to kick it up to around 170 bpm and make it roller-coaster ride of a song. We did and it went over very well in shows. Now to present day I live in Lake County Florida and have been performing solo at clubs, bars, venues, private parties and weddings for around 9 years now and I wanted to find a similar version of the song that I did with my band, Shawn Ash & The 75 South Band, way back then. Black Stone Cherry's acoustic version was what I found and they do an amazing job. So here is my cover recording of Marshal Tuckers "Can't You See" instrumental acoustic track by Black Stone Cherry and vocals by me, Shawn Ash.

About Shawnashcountry

Shawn Ash is a singer/songwriter based in Lake County, Florida. He has been crafting original music and sharing his talent with various bands since his early 20s. In 2010, Shawn took a significant step in his music career when he signed with a reputable record label in Atlanta, Georgia. It was during this time that he recorded "Don't Take the Beer," a track that made its way to radio waves and is still available for listening on YouTube.

Shawn's performances have become a regular feature in The Villages, Florida, where he graces the stages of various bars and country clubs.

Interestingly, the record label he joined, Reign Forever Group, had a strong presence in the Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B genres. However, Shawn's unique musical talent caught the attention of the label's owner, Harold "Self" Chisholm. After witnessing one of Shawn's performances in a contest, Harold was so impressed that he decided to sign him. This collaboration led to the creation of Shawn's debut single, "Don't Take the Beer," a collaborative effort with his friend CJ Solar. The song made waves on radio and digital media charts, proving Shawn's potential in the music industry.

But Shawn's musical journey took an unexpected turn in 2012 when he faced some personal life events. As a result, he made the decision to relocate to Orlando, Florida, to be closer to his family.

In 2013, Shawn's life took a positive turn when he met the love of his life. Encouraged by her unwavering support, he rekindled his passion for writing, singing, and performing.

Today, Shawn Ash is a regular performer in The Villages, where he graces the squares (Brownwood, Lake Sumter, and Spanish Springs), bars (City Fire, Cody's, Legacy Poolside), various country clubs, and even Whispering Oaks Winery in Oxford, Florida. His music continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression wherever he performs.
