Where Freedom Lies
About DannyBrushett
I am a songwriter who has been writing lyrics for over 50 years and I actually sing and write the songs with an acoustic guitar and once I am happy with the song now I put into Ai for the complete song to be finalized
I am hoping some great artist out there will like some of my songs and potentially record them.

Where my Freedom Lies
Riding out at dawn, with the sun rising slow,
Across the plains, where the wild rivers flow
The cattle stir, why the sun begins to glow,
Life of a cowboy, the only life I know.
My hands are rough, my face is weathered,
Underneath this hat, my fate's been tethered.
Dust kicks up beneath my horse's steady tread,
Out here on the trail, it's just the land, the living, and the dead.
Oh, the life of a cowboy, living under the vast skies,
With the earth as my bed, the stars tell no lies.
Through the wind and the rain, my heart never cries,
I ride through the plains, where my freedom lies
Long days turn to nights, as we sit by the fire's light,
The stories unfold, beneath the moon so bright….so bright….so bright
Stories of outlaws and storms, and cattle drives that are long,
This cowboy life, it's where I belong…. where I belong
My boots there worn thin, walking past dreams of the city,
This land's harsh beauty, it doesn't ask for my pity.
And with every sunset, I feel its deep call,
Out here in the silence, I stand tall…. oh I stand tall…. tall
Oh, the life of a cowboy, under the vast skies,
With the earth as my bed, and the stars tell no lies.
Through the wind and the rain, my heart never cries,
As I ride through the plains, where my freedom lies…. where my freedom lies
Oh, the life of a cowboy, under the vast skies,
With the earth as my bed, and the stars tell no lies.
And through the wind and the rain, my heart never cries,
I ride through the plains, where the freedom flies.
…. oh where my freedom lies
