Congratulations to those who were selected!  And I thank everyone that submitted.

There were more than enough songs on this pitch for us to send five.  However, there were various issues with the songs we didn’t select.  Some were weak lyrics and some were formatting issues like running the bridge directly behind a verse and throwing us off.  Please watch your formats!  Message me if you want to get a critique of your song from our perspective. But understand that this is very subjective, so you might not like my answers.

DC Pride 2023 performer. Please listen to older DSP releases for pitch ideas. Pop/country leaning. New styles welcomed as well such as Dance + Country, Reggaeton + Country. Thank you Kyle for your gentle and kind response.  Glad I didn't offend you.  The whole purpose of this forum is for us to help each other as best we can, with expecting nothing but perhaps a thank you for it.  Of course, you are welcome to use whatever I provided in lyrics or idea if you want to, with no strings attached.  I'm just glad you found something in what I said to be helpful.  I look forward to the revisions in lyric and rough demo.  Go get 'em champ!

Well, thank you the two of you that have questioned this post.  There is just not enough information for us to be accurate in our pitches, and it's clear that you read it and paid attention. The lack of information is why I passed it over for a couple of weeks.  But with considering your interest, I have emailed the producer for more information. Hopefully, they will be forthcoming with it very soon.  If not, I will remove the post so we aren't shooting in the dark!  I should have done that in the beginning!  Sorry I didn't!

Hello Kyle!

Great song!  And please forgive me, but I'm a notorious re-writer.  I've done a quick rewrite to say it how I would.  Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with what you wrote; it just means I would have done it different.  But, who the heck am I?

Anyway, I'm trying this and hoping I don't offend you.  I'm hoping I might have said something you could use.  If not, please ignore me.  Again, you've written a good song.  My only strong nit is to say "our Father" rather than "my manager." He's her Father too! Bring her into the family.  And as a minor point, you're not quite conversational in a spot or two.  LInes 2 and 3 don't flow well for me.

Beyond me being me--good job!
